Kyrgyz State Medical Academy

 

Kyrgyz State Medical Academy was established in 1939 as a medical institute. Recently, the acadmy had celebrated it's 70th anniversary as it entered new decade of activity. Kyrgyz State Medical Academy is one of the leading medical academies among all medical colleges in Kyrgyzstan.

The academy is recognized by the government of Kyrgyz Republic, WHO as well as MCI. The academy enjoys it's prime location in the capital city of Kyrgyz Republic i.e. Bishkek. The academy strives to apply most modern methods and advanced technology in teaching foreign students.Kyrgyz State Medical Academy has it's hostels for accommodation of foreign students spread throughout the city. The students also get the opportunity to practice in several hospitals of city to gain useful expeience.

Bishkek City

 

Bishkek, which was formerly know as "Pishpek" & "Frunze" is the capital and the largest city of Kyrgyzstan. The name Bishkek came in to existance in 1991 under Kyrgyz parliament's direction. Bishkek is also connected to the Siberia railway through a spur line.

The city is marked by several boulevards & public buildings that are made of complete marble. Bishkek has a mixed culture of Russian & Kyrgyz people and the population comprises of Kyrgyz, Russians & Ukranians too. Being the capital of Kyrgyzstan, the city has a lot of education institutes, academies & universities. The city is well connected to all it's parts with trolley buses, buses & vans.

Faculties

Kyrgyz State Medical Academy is comprised of the following faculties : General Medicine, Paeditrics, Pharmacy, Public Health, Preparatory, etc. The General Medicine is the most diverse faculty with maximum number of students from abroad as well as locals.The General Medicine faculty is the one that is available in English medium for foreigner students. The English medium faculty is highly qualified, skilled & efficient in teaching foreign students. All other courses available here are in Russian / Kyrgyz medium only.
